I found this jump & spin zebra on clearance at Target for $22.43, originally $44.99. I also used an online coupon for an extra $5 off. She loves it! She kept trying to get on it while it was being put together. She can bounce up and down and spin all the way around. It also plays music and has some spinny toys on the side. For those of you who haven't heard yet MORGAN IS WALKING!!! So maybe this new toy will keep her out of mischief (hehe).

My first HEB experience.
I went grocery shopping today at HEB. I have never been to one of these. It was a pretty nice store. They had an awesome deal where if you bought a value pack of fajita meat (chicken, pork, or beef), you got a bunch of stuff for free. I got a bag of salad, a 2 liter soft drink, grande flour tortillas, smoked sausage links, a package of shredded cheese, and a can of beans all FREE! I also bought some other items as you can see. I spent around $17 dollars (the meat alone was $10) . Of course I used some coupons, however after checking out I realized that they did not double or triple any of them (Bummer). I still did good though :)

Yummy!
Doesn't it look yummy? And YES I made this!! Unfortunately my hubby was not here to enjoy it. I made broccoli, cheese, & rice casserole, rotisserie flavored chicken thighs, and added a piece of bread (I was going to make biscuits, but the kids don't care what type of bread they have!). This meal was so cheap to make too. I got a pack of chicken thighs at Kroger for $3.99 and 2 fresh heads of broccoli for a $1. I already had the rice and ingredients to make the casserole. Rice is inexpensive and so is a package of bread! So there you go, hungry now?

Puppy Love.
Morgan loves Presley (the cocker spaniel).
She liked petting his nose and sticking her finger in his nostril. She is learning where her nose is. We would tell her puppy's nose and then ask where her's was and she would point to hers.
Another angle.
Kisses for Presley!
(And no!!! We did not get a dog, she belongs to another couple who are also here working for RiceTec)

Doesn't gum go in your mouth?
Ahh... the joy of gum! How this happened, I will never know. Boy was he upset when he realized he could not get it out. I happen to be on the phone with a friend who told me to use peanut butter. Well, I tried and did not make much progress. William cried and cried as I tried my best to get it out. I ended up having to cut 2 patches of hair out with scissors. Lastly, I had to trim his whole head because he had 2 little spots that looked liked he had mange. Good thing his hair was somewhat long. I honestly had planned on cutting it this week anyhow. I don't think he will ever do this again because I told him if it happened again I was shaving his head bald. Haha!!

Making Music
We went to the Children's Festival of Houston today. So much stuff for the kids to do. As you can tell William liked beating the pots and pans to make music. He also rode the swings and saw Spongebob and Patrick!!

2nd Kroger trip!
I had to go back to Kroger, the sale is to good! I won't list everything I got this time. I bought 27 items, saved $21.20 in manufacturer coupons, saved $8.70 in Kroger bonus coupons (some my manufacturer coupons that Kroger doubled or even tripled), and saved another $13.09 for using my Kroger card. Total savings: $42.99. Out of pocket cost: $12.82!! If you do the math, I practically paid .48 an item (WOW!).

TP Anyone?
Morgan loves getting into mischief! This morning she got really quiet and as you can see this is what I found! She pulled all of what was on the roll off! Since the paper now could not be used, I let her finish her fun and then cleaned it up. You should have seen the trail she made into the living room. Little pieces stuck to her and were falling off as she crawled out of the bathroom. **Note to self put the toilet paper roll on backwards next time.

Attach of the fire ants!!
My poor baby! Early this morning Morgan woke up crying. I went to get her out of bed and something bit my foot and then another something bit my hand (It stung!). I kept trying to give Morgan her pacifier and she would not take it. I got her out of bed and brought her into the livingroom where she was scratching at her neck. I gave her a bottle and she and I slept on the couch the rest of the morning. When she woke this morning I noticed 5 or so bites on her neck and bites around her mouth and cheeks. Come to find out she was attacked by fire ants. Her sores are pussing up and really red. She is a trooper!! When I went and looked in her bed I found some ants wondering around (these things are huge). Needless to say we have pest control coming out today. William has common ants taking over his room, they have made a path right down the middle of his room. We are going to a friend's apartement for the day so that noone else gets hurt. Pray for Morgan that she does not itch these bites and cause infection, also pray for a fast recovery since these bites last about a week. In the picture you can see a few bites by her mouth. I could not get her still long enough to take a good picture.

Hello Blog world!
Well, here I am joining the rest of the blogging world :) I figured this would be a great way to stay in touch with family and friends while we are away. Especially since my cell phone has been messed up. This also gives me an out during the day to have a non-mommy moment and reflect upon whatever I feel like. This blog is published (public), so for those passer byers I hope I can give you something out of the ordinary, a laugh, or just something to look at to pass your time. I hope to meet new people with common interests and gather informative info from other experienced bloggers, like other frugal mom strategies and what not. Wish me luck and check back often!!
